Art Intensive: Mixed-Media Florals Full-Day Workshop w/ Sierra Evans - Sunday, July 13
Sunday, July 13, 2025
This one-day, immersive painting workshop is designed for students looking to expand their creative practice and dive into the world of mixed-media. The class will include five hours of dedicated instruction, your own 30"x30"x1.5" gallery-wrapped canvas for painting and access to an array of mediums (acrylic, house paint, spray paint, ink, pen, etc.) and unique tools (brushes, rollers, stencils, sponges, etc.)
There will be various reference images for you to choose from, and we will be painting large-scale, floral compositions. I will work with you one-on-one, to definite layout, color choice + balance and mixed-media application.
Space is limited to 10-12 students. All mixed media materials are included and the only thing you bring is you!
*Class will break at noon for a one-hour lunch window.
About Sierra Evans
I grew up in a small, coastal mountain town in northern California where my days were spent running through redwood forests and dreaming up my next creative project. My parents enrolled me in a number of art classes that filled the free time in between my outdoor explorations and elementary school obligations. I can remember the excitement of playing with soft clay in ceramics classes, and the anticipation of learning new painting materials and techniques. Art quickly became my passion from an early age, and continues to fill my life with joy.
After finishing high school, I went on to graduate from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Since then I've continued my design career in the corporate space for over 15 years, but always take up any opportunity to have a brush in my hand.
Now as a wife and mom to two young girls, life is a little busier! What free time I do have, I enjoy spending as much of it as possible outdoors: trail running, river floating and and adventuring with those I love. My fine art practice continues to grow as I find myself inspired by bright, cheerful color palettes and the beauty of the natural landscape.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I've loved creating i
